The Illinois Springfield men's soccer team continues its road stretch Saturday night, traveling to Missouri-St. Louis for a 7:30 p.m. kickoff. The Prairie Stars enter the match 0-7-1 overall and 0-4-1 in GLVC play, while the Tritons sit at 3-3-1 overall and 2-2-1 in conference action.

The Prairie Stars enter Saturday's matchup looking to build on Wednesday night's showing at Quincy. The Hawks came away with a 4-2 win, but head coach Graham Shaw said it was the best UIS had looked this season in terms of executing its game plan. Junior Jacob Shaw provided an offensive spark, scoring his first two goals as a Prairie Star.

UIS has shown the ability to create opportunities in the attacking third, with its pace creating chances in front of goal. Against UMSL, the Prairie Stars will look to continue that attacking pressure while finding the finishing touch to turn those opportunities into goals.

UMSL enters the matchup following a 1-0 road win at Lewis earlier this week. The Tritons have played several close, low-scoring matches this season and are led offensively by Brady Freeman, who has four goals, including three game-winners.

The Tritons have used three goalkeepers this season. Will Winkler made the start in Wednesday's win at Lewis, playing all 90 minutes and making six saves.
