The UIS men's soccer team returns home on Wednesday, Sept. 16, hosting Truman State at 5:30 p.m. in a GLVC matchup.

Illinois Springfield (0-4-1, 0-1-1 GLVC) is coming off a 2-1 non-conference loss at St. Cloud State and turns its attention fully to conference play, beginning with Wednesday's home match before three straight road contests.

The Prairie Stars have had limited opportunities to generate consistent offensive pressure early in the season and will look to get on the front foot against Truman State and spend more time in the attacking third.

Illinois Springfield has not lost to Truman State in the last nine meetings between the programs, winning eight times and tying once since 2016.

The Bulldogs (2-2-1, 1-1-1 GLVC) are led offensively by Jacob Panagos, who has scored five goals in five games and ranks third in the GLVC in goals per game. He also currently ranks third in the conference in points. Truman State goalkeeper Owen Robben has a .706 save percentage through five games played.

Truman State defeated Rockhurst 1-0 and tied 2-2 at Maryville last week. The Bulldogs and Prairie Stars have one common opponent in Drury. Both teams scored one goal against the Panthers but suffered a loss.
