The UIS women's golf team completed its second of three rounds at the Emerald Coast Collegiate on Monday at Sandestin Baytowne in Destin, Fla., sitting 17th in the team standings with a score of 651 (328-323) heading into Tuesday's final round.

Elaine Grant continues to lead the Prairie Stars and is tied for fifth individually after rounds of 70 and 73 for a two-round total of 143 (+1). Grant followed her opening-round 70 with another strong performance Monday, carding a 73 to remain among the tournament's top competitors.

Valentina Torrealba is tied for 24th after shooting 75 in the first round and improving to a 73 in round two, finishing the day at 148 (+6). Her second-round 73 matched Grant for the team's best score of the day.

Ira Joshi, competing as an individual, is tied for 48th with rounds of 78 and 76 for a total of 154 (+12). Yi-Ting Hsieh sits tied for 87th at 170 (86-84), while Lia Rody is 92nd with rounds of 97 and 94. Erin Ahmadfadzir rounds out the Prairie Stars in 93rd after posting scores of 102 and 93.

As a team, UIS improved by five strokes in the second round after opening with a 328 on Sunday.

UT Tyler leads the team standings at 568 through two rounds, followed by St. Mary's (Texas), Mississippi College, and Flagler tied for second at 585.

The tournament concludes Tuesday with the final round at Sandestin Resort.
