UIS Athletics invites the Prairie Stars community to a reception welcoming Laura Ulrich, who recently completed her first season as head volleyball coach during the Fall 2025 campaign. Ulrich joined the Prairie Stars in late summer 2025, marking the beginning of a new chapter for UIS Volleyball.

The reception provides an opportunity for student-athletes, alumni, faculty, staff, supporters, and friends of UIS Volleyball to meet Coach Ulrich, hear her vision for the program, and connect with those who share a passion for UIS Athletics. It is a time to come together, build relationships, and show support for the continued growth and success of Prairie Stars Volleyball.

The reception is generously sponsored by Glen and Lola Garrison, whose continued support of UIS Athletics helps create meaningful experiences for UIS student-athletes and the broader Prairie Stars community. The entire community is encouraged to attend in welcoming Coach Ulrich and celebrating the next chapter of UIS Volleyball.

The reception will be held on Wednesday, Jan. 14, 2026, from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. at Route 66 Motorheads (600 Toronto Road, Springfield, IL 62711). Attendance is free and open to the public; however, advance registration is required. Register here.
