The UIS women's tennis team picked up its first win of the season on Saturday afternoon, defeating Lewis 4-3 in Romeoville. With the victory, the Prairie Stars move to 1-9 overall and 1-2 in GLVC play, with three of five conference matches now in the books.

UIS will play its only weekend of home conference matches next week. The Prairie Stars face Indianapolis on Friday and McKendree on Saturday, with both matches scheduled for 11:00 a.m. at Washington Park, weather permitting.
