The St. Louis Cardinals Caravan is making a stop at the University of Illinois Springfield this winter, adding even more excitement to a busy day on campus. Caravan #3 will visit The Recreation and Athletic Center (TRAC) at 1:15 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 17, the same afternoon UIS hosts a basketball doubleheader against Southwest Baptist, with games tipping off at 1:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m.
A game ticket for the Jan. 17 doubleheader is required for access to the Cardinals Caravan. Tickets can be purchased through HomeTown Ticketing via the
HomeTown Fan App or online through the
UIS Athletics Box Office.
The Caravan covers six states in four days and brings fans closer to the future and the legends of Cardinals baseball with appearances from top prospects, current players, Cardinals alumni, and team broadcasters. The full Springfield-bound lineup will be announced in early January.
Fans attending the stop at UIS can look forward to several special opportunities:
- Fans ages 16 and older will receive two tickets to a 2026 Cardinals game.
- Kids 15 and younger may collect one autograph from each current and former player in attendance.
This year's Caravan includes new enhancements such as free admission at most locations, a brand-new photo-op station, and interactive fan experiences throughout the tour.
UIS is excited to welcome the Cardinals Caravan to Springfield on a big day for Prairie Stars Athletics. Make plans to enjoy Cardinals baseball excitement at TRAC, then head into the arena for Prairie Stars basketball action against Southwest Baptist. Stay tuned for the official list of participating players, alumni, and broadcasters coming in early January.
