The Illinois Springfield men's basketball team returns to TRAC on Friday night for a 7:00 p.m. matchup with Williams Baptist. As always, UIS students, faculty, and staff with a valid Campus Event Pass (QR code) receive free admission. Tickets are also available for purchase in advance through Hometown Ticketing, with cash and card accepted at the gate on gameday.

Illinois Springfield (2-1)
The Prairie Stars are off to a strong start in 2025-26, averaging 85.7 points per game and shooting 48.5 percent from the field. Jordan Rice, a 2023-24 first-team All-GLVC selection who missed last season, has returned in top form and currently leads the conference with 23 points and 4.7 assists per game. Isaiah Davis has also been efficient, adding 15 points per game while shooting 50 percent from three.

Freshman Alex Stell, from Waterloo, Ill., has emerged as one of the league's top shot blockers with six through three games and also ranks seventh in the GLVC in rebounding. Returners Tye Banks and Britton Dutton have been steady contributors as well, scoring 9.3 and 8.0 points per game.

UIS has shown promising defensive energy, forcing 23 turnovers and blocking 11 shots through the early schedule. With two non-conference games remaining before GLVC play, the Stars continue to build chemistry with a new and talented roster. Conference action begins on the road Nov. 29 at Missouri-St. Louis.

Williams Baptist (4-0)
Friday's contest will serve as an exhibition for Williams Baptist, a fast-paced NAIA program in the American Midwest Conference. The Eagles enter the week 4-0 and averaging more than 100 points per game while shooting 50.9 percent from the field and 38.2 percent from three.

Jesse Washington is off to a remarkable start, scoring 28.5 points per game on 66.7 percent shooting. Deion Wesson is right behind him at 27.5 points per game. Freshman Benjamin Noonan has also made an early impact, averaging 15.3 points. The Eagles score at a high efficiency, and the matchup with a strong UIS defensive group should make for an exciting night at TRAC.
