Men’s Basketball Earns Big Road Win Against Truman State

The University of Illinois Springfield men's basketball team was able to get back to winning ways on Thursday night against Truman State in Kirksville, Missouri. UIS improves to 17-11 overall, and 10-8 in GLVC play with the win. Truman State drops to 13-12 overall, with a 10-7 record in conference play. 

Game Summary

  • TSU jumped out to an early lead, going up by seven points on two separate occasions 

  • The teams went back and forth for the next ten minutes of action as Truman tried to keep the Stars at a safe distance

  • UIS took the lead with 34 seconds left in the first half on a Khalil Ross dunk to take a 35-33 lead into the break

  • The Prairie Stars started the second half on a 9-0 run behind three-pointers from Jordan Rice, Jacob Hanna, and Max Kunnert
