The UIS track & field team competed at the Illinois College Hilltop Invite on Friday night, meeting GLVC opponents Truman State, Missouri-St. Louis, and Missouri S&T just down the road in Jacksonville, Ill. 

MEET SUMMARY

• Four Prairie Stars ran GLVC top-18 times
• Emma Leahy started the meet off with a personal bes in the 5,000 meter run
• Ellie Shonkwiler had her second consecutive personal best in the women's shot put with a mark of 10.56 meters
• Lucas Baronello and Zach Panek were the top male finishers for UIS, taking 5th place in their respective events
• Lillian Buzani earned a pair of 7th place finishes in the 800 meter and 1 mile races
• Khaniya Higginbotham moved into 12th on the GLVC performance list with a personal best in the women's 400m
• Daniel Amponsah's 7.18 in the men's 60m was good for 6th place
