GAME ONE VS. CEDARVILLE (W, 7-5)
  • Cedarville's starting pitcher allowed Ella Brinkley on base on a leadoff walk. Isabella Wilson doubled, followed by a Ramsey Armstrong single for Brinkley to score the first run of the day. Wilson was out at home on the play.
  • UIS didn't stop there, as Malia Bender would single up the middle, steal second, and eventually score on a wild pitch.
  • Jacy Watts homered before the inning was over and the Prairie Stars ended the top of the 1st with a 4-0 lead
  • A two-RBI triple put Cedarville on the board in the bottom of the 3rd and they would finish the inning down 4-3
  • The next runs came in the 5th, when Ella Brinkley and Isabella Wilson each singled, followed by a Ramsey Armstrong two-RBI double to left center
  • A Cedarville home run in the 6th left them trailing by one run
  • UIS scored one run in the 7th but left two on base

GAME TWO VS. HARDING (W, 5-3)
  • Harding went up 2-0 before Adi Rumler scored on a single by Isabella Wilson in the bottom of the 3rd. UIS made it an even 2-2 game when Malia Bender scored on a single by Isabella Wilson in the following inning
  • The remainder of the action came in the fifth inning, starting when Harding went up 3-2 by scoring a run on a wild pitch
  • A sac fly by Taylor Zawacki allowed Ella Brinkley to score and once again make it anybody's game
  • Rosie Bartletti, who had just entered to pitch in the inning prior, added a two-RBI single for the Prairie Stars to go up 5-3
  • Rosie Bartletti improved to 3-0 with the win

UIS improves to 5-1 on the season and will meet Northwood and Ashland in Saturday's games at the Music City Invitational.
