Men’s Basketball Beats Quincy Handily on Saturday Afternoon

The University of Illinois Springfield men's basketball team was able to pull away from the visiting Quincy Hawks on Saturday afternoon at TRAC to return to winning ways in the GLVC. UIS improves to 13-6 on the year, with a 6-3 record in GLVC play. Quincy drops to 9-8 on the year, with a 4-5 record in conference play.

  • UIS started the contest on fire as the Stars jumped out to an 18-2 lead

  • Quincy took a lead of their own, 23-22, with 7:49 left in the first half

  • Both teams traded blows as the first half wound down
