Women’s Basketball Uses Huge Third Quarter to Beat Peacocks

The University of Illinois Springfield women's basketball team won their third straight conference game on Thursday night behind a big third quarter, both offensively and defensively. UIS improves to 8-7 overall, with a 6-3 record in GLVC play. Upper Iowa drops to 6-5 overall, with a 3-4 record in conference play.

  • The Peacocks came out hot in the first quarter, scoring 27 points while shooting 9-of-15 (60.0%) from the field and 4-for-7 (57.1%) from three

  • UIS fought back in the second quarter, but Upper Iowa took a 47-43 lead into the halftime break
