UIS will be the No. 2 seed in the GLVC Tournament as they aim to defend their first-ever GLVC title from last season. The Prairie Stars are set to meet No. 7 seeded William Jewell at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 11. The Tournament will take place at Mtn. Dew Park in Marion, Ill. from Thursday through Sunday. The top-3 GLVC schools upon the end of the regular season, Quincy, UIS, and Maryville, are also the top-3 schools in the latest Midwest Regional Rankings.
Each day of the four-day event, ticket prices will be $12 for adults and $5 for youth (ages 6-17) and students (with ID), while children 5 and under are free. UMSL Series Recap
GAME ONE (W, 11-4)
Tyler Horvath was the winning pitcher in game one after entering in the fifth inning and holding the Tritons hitless while UIS regained the lead.
The offense outhit Missouri-St. Louis 10-5, including three hits by
Asher Bradd. Brad also tallied up two runs and two RBIs.
Brandon Bannon had two hits, runs, and RBIs of his own. Bannon started the series strong with a home run in the top of the first. He contributed two of the team's three extra-base hits in game one,
Brant Vanaman had the other when he tripled in the first inning.
UIS pulled ahead in a five-run sixth inning that started with a
TJ Yakimisky home run. There were three hits and two errors in the inning.
GAME TWO (W, 14-4)
The Prairie Stars went on to put up 14 runs in the first seven inning game of the series. Starting pitcher
Adam Brouwer improved to 7-1 when he struck out seven Tritons in the first four innings.
Ian Delleman made an appearance in the fifth inning, striking out three in a row.
Johnny Colombo pitched the final inning after contributing two home runs in the game. The offense combined for 5 extra-base hits.
GAME THREE (W, 16-5)
UIS heated up after two scoreless innings to hit four home runs in the third inning of game three. UMSL responded in their half of the inning with three homers. The Prairie Stars went on to score multiple runs in each of the remaining innings.
It was a 17-hit game for UIS where

Mike O'Conor,
Peyton Dillingham (1) and
Raul Ortega (1) combined for six home runs.
Ryan Carmack improved to 6-2 after striking out seven in four innings on the mound.
GAME FOUR (W, 14-9)
Gavin Wahlbrink, who entered the game after the Tritons put up three runs in the top of the first, earned his second win of the spring in the final game of the series.
Brandon Bannon hit his 49th career double to tie the UIS career doubles record. It was one of four doubles by a Prairie Star in the game. Bannon and
Mike O'Conor also homered in the matchup. Five Prairie Stars had two or more hits as UIS scored runs in seven of nine innings.
UIS scored eleven or more runs in every game of the series, totaling 55 runs on the weekend.
