The Great Lakes Valley Conference released its All-GLVC honors on Wednesday. Freshman
Alex Seibal earned First Team All-GLVC recognition when he finished in the top-5 at the GLVC Men's Golf Championship last month.
Seibal has since won the UIS Athletics Male Rookie of the Year award. He led a team of underclassmen to a seventh place finish at the Championship. Seibal carded a career best two-under 70 in his second round to climb seven spots and put himself in All-GLVC contention. The Tempe, Ariz. native finished T5 to make the league's first team and is the first freshman in UIS golf program history to do so. Four of six athletes that finished ahead of or tied with Seibal came from Missouri-St. Louis, and three held NCAA DII top-100 rankings.
