After dropping two games to the Drury Panthers on Saturday, the Prairie Stars completed two shutouts against the Southwest Baptist Bearcats in Bolivar, Mo. on Sunday.
GAME ONE (W, 2-0)
Reagan Miles improved to 13-5 after her third shutout in four games. Miles allowed just two hits as she struck out 11 Bearcats.
Two sac bunts in the top of the fourth inning moved
Ella Brinkley to third before she scored on an error. UIS scored again when a single by
Isabella Wilson sent
Sophie Margelot across home plate in the next inning.
Ashley Klinzing had two hits while four more Prairie Stars contributed one hit apiece.Â
GAME TWO (W, 9-2)
The offense stacked 14 hits including four by
Isabella Wilson. Wilson also contributed 2 RBIs in her 4-4 showing.
Kelsie Burrows had three hits and one RBI while
Danielle Dennis and
Ella Brinkley had two hits and two runs apiece.
Taylor Zawacki went the full game, striking out ten to improve to 10-11 on the season.
UIS finishes the regular season with a 33-20 overall record and 14-10 in-conference record.
