The University of Illinois Springfield track and field team competed at Olivet Nazarene's ONU Tiger Open in Bourbonnais, Ill. on Saturday. Noah Tegeler had the team's top finish when he won the men's 5,000m race. 

Tegeler's 5,000m puts him in the GLVC top-18 as of Saturday. Jade Aubrey and Matt Moler had runner-up finishes in their respective events, with Moler's time putting him just inside the GLVC top-10. 

Ellie Shonkwiler continues to close in on the javelin school with another mark over 24 meters. The standing record was set in the spring of 2018 by Maddie Logsdon.
