Box Score The UIS women's tennis team improved its record to 1-3 after facing Lewis and Clark at home on Friday. 

UIS won nearly uncontested at the Springfield Racquet and Fitness Center on Friday. The Prairie Stars defeated the trailblazers 6-2, 6-0, 6-0 to earn the doubles point. 

Four Prairie Stars picked up their first singles wins of the regular season, while two swept their respective match. Eva Rubio was the sole Prairie Star who went to a third set. Rubio claimed her individual win with a 10-6 finale.

UIS will open up conference play at home on Friday, March 24 against Southwest Baptist. They will then face Drury on Saturday, March 25.
