UIS Men's Basketball took down a top GLVC team at TRAC on Saturday. The 73-65 victory was the team's 17th win of the 2022-23 season.
The Prairie Stars were led in their third straight win by
Jack Weber, who posted 22 points and seven rebounds.
Max Kunnert had 15 points, and
Jacob Hanna rounds out the double-digits scorers with 13. Four more Prairie Stars had points on the board in the team effort win.
The Prairie Stars trailed for just over three minutes at the start of the game. The Cardinals did not come within five points of UIS for the remainder of the contest. UIS shot an even 50% from the field in each half, and averaged 50% from three-point range as well.
Jack Weber shot just over his season average with 62.5% of field goals made.
UIS outrebounded William Jewell 35-23, including seven apiece by
Jack Weber and
Michael Wright.
Max Kunnert and
Jacob Hanna contributed six rebounds apiece.
UIS will go on the road for the remaining weekend of the regular season.
