Prairie Stars men's basketball will host their final two regular season home games this week. UIS will first host Rockhurst on Thursday at 7:30 p.m., then William Jewell on Saturday at 3:00 p.m. for Senior Day.
The Prairie Stars look to avenge a 62-60 January loss against the Rockhurst Hawks. The Hawks have won just two of their last five GLVC matchups, including a win over No. 25 Missouri-St. Louis. Rockhurst fell by just seven points when they faced the No. 7 Indianapolis Greyhounds last week.Â
UIS will then face the 13-10, 10-7 GLVC William Jewell Cardinals. The Cardinals defeated Lewis last Thursday, and fell to Indianapolis 60-64 on Saturday. The Prairie Stars won 73-63 when the teams last met.Â
UIS is 15-9 overall and 9-7 in the GLVC, standing 7th in the latest GLVC Point Rating System rankings. The Prairie Stars lead the conference in assist to turnover ratio (1.58), and 3-point field goals made (10.08 per game).Â
Individually, UIS has a number of players in the top-10 of the individual statistics rankings.
Jordan Rice is second in assist to turnover ratio (2.69) and seventh in assists (3.58 per game).
Jack Weber is featured in a number of statistics rankings, and is most notably ranked third in field goal percentage (60.4%) and 7th in rebounding (6.4 per game).
