Women’s Cross Country Finishes 18th at Midwest Regional

UIS women's cross country finished 18th at the NCAA DII Midwest Regional Championships in Evansville, Ind, on Saturday with a score of 461 points. The Prairie Stars conclude the season with three top-10 meet finishes.

The Prairie Stars were fifth out of the GLVC teams in the race, reflecting similar results to their showing at the GLVC Championships two weeks ago.

Grand Valley State won the team championship, followed by Cedarville and Lewis. The top three teams earned automatic bids to the NCAA Championships.

Madelyn Miller was the top Prairie Star in 36th place. Jordan Serrahn and Breanna Chandler came across the finish line together in 93rd and 94th, then Lillian Buzani and Jade Aubrey rounded out the scoring at 118th and 120th.
