UIS men's soccer earned a first round bye in the NCAA DII Men's soccer tournament, as announced during the selection show on Monday. The Prairie Stars have now advanced to the NCAA postsesaon for the third consecutive year.
UIS is hosting and will face the winner of the first round matchup between Lewis and Purdue Northwest at Kiwanis Stadium at 2:00 p.m. on Friday
The Prairie Stars have now advanced to the NCAA postsesaon for the third consecutive year. The Prairie Stars went 10-0-3 in conference play during the 2023 season, shutting out all but one GLVC opponent. The team secured its first regular season title with a win over the Lewis Flyers in the final weekend of conference play. UIS went on to meet Indianapolis in the GLVC Championship game, failing to defeat the Greyhounds in penalty kicks but securing their sixteenth shutout of the season.
The regular season champion Prairie Stars claimed eight All-GLVC honors and three major awards.
Adam Hall was named Coach of the Year,
Adrian Adames was dubbed the Defensive Player of the Year to win the first-ever major award for UIS, and
Andrea Scapolo became the GLVC's first Goalkeeper of the Year.

Admission for each day of the tournament play will be as follows:
General Admission: $15
Students with I.D./Senior Citizens: $10
Children, ages 2-12: $5
Children under the age of 2 shall be admitted free when accompanied by a paying adult.
