UIS women's basketball resumed conference play at William Jewell on Thursday. The Prairie Stars fell to the Cardinals by a final score of 76-63.
Brianna Zajicek shot .500 from the field in the first half to help the Prairie Stars take the lead. UIS scored first and led for 26.9 percent of the matchup, but began to trail the Cardinals in the second quarter.
Saharra Murphy was the leading scorer with a season high of 16 points. Murphy made eight of her thirteen attempted free throws versus the Cardinals.
The next matchup for UIS women's basketball will be at Rockhurst on Saturday.
