Women's Basketball fell to Indianapolis (11-8, 7-4 GLVC) on Thursday at TRAC. The contest ended in a final score of 81-65.
Liz Uhl was the leading scorer for the Prairie Stars with 17 points. Uhl also had six rebounds, one assist, one block, and two steals in her 38 minutes played.
Ariyah Douglas and
Ava Bardic followed with 15 and 11 points scored, respectively.
UIS went on a six-point run early in the second half thanks to a steal by
Ava Bardic to cut the Greyhound lead to eight points. The Prairie Stars outscored UIndy 20-14 in the third quarter, but could not keep the pace in the final ten minutes
The UIndy Greyhounds held the UIS to 30% shooting from the field, the Prairie Stars made just 21 of 70 attempted shots.
UIS is now 2-18 overall and 2-10 in the conference. The Prairie Stars will face McKendree at TRAC on Saturday at 1 p.m.
