UIS women's basketball will travel to St. Louis, Mo. for two games this week. The Prairie Stars will face Maryville on Thursday at 5:30 p.m. and Missouri St. Louis on Saturday at 1 p.m.
UIS lost their last game by a margin of 12 points, but had three athletes score in the double-digits. The Prairie Stars are averaging 67.4 points per game and have a number of athletes competing well in the GLVC statistical rankings.
Brianna Zajicek is No. 5 in overall scoring with 16.5 points per game, and is the leading freshman in that category.Â
The Maryville Saints are currently fifth in the league with a 5-4 conference record. They lost their last three conference matchups, but have a 7-2 home record.Â
Missouri-St. Louis women's basketball is 4-5 in the GLVC and eighth in the standings as of Monday. The Tritons won their of their last five including a notable win over the GLVC No. 3 Lewis Flyers.Â
