The University of Illinois Springfield women's soccer team hit the road for the first time in 2022 on Saturday with a trip to Findlay, Ohio. The Prairie Stars came up short to Findlay by a 1-0 decision.
 
Neither team scored for the first 82 minutes of the game, before Findlay scored the game-winner in the 83rd minute on an unassisted strike. The game was a defensive battle throughout, with the two teams combining for just 19 shots and seven shots on goal.
 
UIS finished with seven shots and three shots on goal. The three shots on goal came from Madison Grandys, Emily Tully, and Corinne Stewart. Allison Mirimanian made three saves in goal.
 
The Prairie Stars fall to 1-2-1 on the season. UIS ends its non-conference portion of the schedule on Tuesday evening at home against Purdue Northwest.
