A late goal helped the University of Illinois Springfield men's soccer team continue its Friday night, home unbeaten streak. The Prairie Stars tied Indianapolis 1-1 during their Homecoming Game at Kiwanis Stadium.

UIS is now unbeaten for its last 23 games that have been played in Springfield on Friday nights, a streak that dates back to 2015. The streak appeared in jeopardy after Indianapolis scored in the 61st minute on a night that scoring chances were limited due to the weather. In the 84th minute, though,
Billy Nzojyibwami scored the equalizer off an assist from
Anton Aduwa-Emovon.

On the night, UIS outshot Indianapolis by a 12-4 margin, including 6-1 on shots on goal. The Prairie Stars also had a 6-1 edge in corner kicks.

Nzojyibwami led the team on the night with three shots, all of them on goal.
Alberto Valsecchi and Marijyn van Wandelen split action in goal.
Drew Keller,
Conal Gallagher, and
Niccolo Ciceri all played the entire game in the field.

UIS is now 2-3-2 on the season and 1-1-2 in GLVC play. The Prairie Stars host McKendree on Sunday afternoon at 2:30 p.m.
