The University of Illinois Springfield women's tennis team completed a late-season run on Saturday that earned the team a spot in the GLVC Tournament. UIS won its final three conference games, including a 4-1 victory on Saturday against Lindenwood.

UIS won the doubles point with victories by
Franca Bucco and
Riann Hsu at No. 2 doubles, and
Neha Mokhasi and
Piper Schrepferman at No. 3.

The Prairie Stars then clinched the match with victories at the No. 2 through No. 4 spots.
Carmen Llopis Fabra had a dominating two-set victory at No. 2, losing just one game. Hsu and Bucco both lost their first sets, but bounced back for a victory, including 6-0 victories in the deciding set.

UIS ends the regular season with a 9-8 record. The Prairie Stars finished tied for second in the GLVC East Division with a 4-2 mark.
