The University of Illinois Springfield women's tennis team used its depth to earn a 5-2 victory over Quincy on Sunday in Quincy, Ill.

Quincy captured the top two singles positions and top doubles spot in the dual meet. The Prairie Stars won the rest of the matches though to end the non-conference portion of their schedule with a 5-6 record.

In doubles play, the big victory for the Prairie Stars came at No. 2 doubles where
Franca Bucco and
Carmen Llopis Fabra won a close 7-5 decision to earn the doubles point. The other doubles victory was a 6-3 win by
Riann Hsu and
Piper Schrepferman.

In singles, Hsu continued her winning streak by winning her fifth straight singles match. Other winners included Bucco, Schrepferman, and
Kamila Kalinowska. Kalinowska did not surrender a game, while Bucco lost just two games in her victory.
