Men's Tennis Wins Seven Of Nine Matches Versus Missouri-St. Louis

The University of Illinois Springfield men's tennis team won seven of the nine matches on Friday, and it defeated Missouri-St. Louis on the road by a 5-2 score.
 
UIS swept all three doubles matches, winning all three by identical 6-3 scores. The winning pairs were Sebastian Jonsson/Menno Servaes, Nick Revin/Oscar Toro, and Matthew Lapsley/Tomas Martinez.
 
Four of the players were also winners in singles play. UIS won the first three positions in singles. Servaes and Martinez had straight set victories, while Revin who his match by a 7-6 score in the third set. Lapsley recorded the final team point, shutting out his opponents in two sets at No. 6 singles.
 
UIS improves to 5-5 on the season. The Prairie Stars look to move above .500 on Sunday at Quincy.
