The University of Illinois Springfield women's tennis team split the six singles matches against Lander on Thursday. Lander captured the doubles point though and defeated the No. 43 Prairie Stars by a 4-3 margin.

UIS's victories came at the No. 1, No. 4, and No. 5 singles position. At the top flight,
Sina Skjelstad defeated her opponent by a 6-4 and 6-2 margin.
Riann Hsu moved up to the No. 4 spot and won 6-4 and 6-1.
Neha Mokhasi captured the No. 5 contest by scores of 6-2 and 6-1.

UIS falls to 4-5 on the year. The Prairie Stars are off until March 25 when they travel to Missouri-St. Louis.
