Men's Tennis Drops Decision At No. 13 Lander

The University of Illinois Springfield men's tennis team continued the toughest portion of its schedule on Thursday, facing its fifth straight opponent that is currently ranked in the top-50 of the ITA national rankings. The Prairie Stars could not pull off the upset win over No. 13 Lander, falling 6-1.
 
UIS won two matches on the day, with one both in singles and doubles play. In singles, Menno Servaes continued his hot play with a 4-6, 6-3, 6-3 victory at No. 1 singles. At No. 3 doubles, Tomas Martinez and Matthew Lapsley won the No. 3 position by a 6-4 margin.
 
UIS falls to 4-5 on the season. The Prairie Stars are back in action on March 25 at Missouri-St. Louis.
