The University of Illinois Springfield men's tennis team was on the wrong end of three three-set matches on Tuesday in Augusta, Ga. The Prairie Stars fell to 19th-ranked Augusta by a 4-3 score.

UIS led 3-1 with three singles matches remaining. All three went into a third set, and all three finished with Augusta winning 6-4. That allowed the Jaguars to have a one-point come-from-behind win.

UIS captured both doubles matches that were finished.
Menno Servaes and
Sebastian Jonsson won the No. 1 by a 6-3 score, and
Tomas Martinez and
Matthew Lapsley shutout their No. 3 opponents.

The Prairie Stars also won two singles matches, with Servaes winning at No. 1, and
Rafa Rojas capturing the No. 6 position.

UIS falls to 4-4 on the season. The Prairie Stars will next face No. 9 Lander on Thursday afternoon.
