The University of Illinois Springfield women's tennis team picked up one of its biggest NCAA victories on Sunday in Harrogate, Tenn. The Prairie Stars defeated 20th-ranked Lincoln Memorial by a 4-3 margin.

The two teams started the match by splitting the first four team points. UIS scored after winning both doubles matches, and the No. 1 singles match. The doubles wins came at No. 1 from
Neha Mokhasi and
Sina Skjelstad, and No. 3 from
Riann Hsu and
Piper Schrepferman. The singles victory was a two-set win by
Carmen Llopis Fabra.

With the score tied at two, the Prairie Stars won with victories at No. 4 and No. 6 singles. Schrepferman won the No. 4 match by scores of 6-1 and 7-5, and Hsu clinched the big win with a 6-3, 6-3 victory.

UIS improves to 4-3 on the year. The Prairie Stars travel to Augusta on Tuesday for their next match.
