The University of Illinois Springfield men's tennis team had a difficult road weekend in Springfield, Mo., and had two losses in its competitions. The Prairie Stars lost to Drury and No. 22 Washburn, both by 6-1 scores.

In the Drury loss, UIS's one point came from
Zubin Omar who won the No. 4 singles match in a third-set tiebreaker. The doubles team of
Menno Servaes and
Sebastian Jonsson also earned a 7-5 victory at No. 1 doubles.

Against the nationally-ranked Ichabods, the Prairie Stars had one win from Jonsson at No. 5 singles. Both
Tomas Martinez and Servaes put up good fights at the top two singles flights, but came up short in the third set.

UIS is now 4-2 on the season. The Prairie Stars are off until March 13 when they travel to Lincoln Memorial.
