The University of Illinois Springfield women's tennis squad came up just short in its regional showdown with Tiffin on Sunday. The Prairie Stars lost by a 4-3 margin.

UIS captured the doubles match after winning two of the three matches.
Piper Schrepferman and
Riann Hsu had the clinching victory at No. 3 singles.
Neha Mokhasi and
Sina Skjelstad also won at the No. 1 position.

In singles play, Tiffin won four of the first five singles matches that were completed for the win. UIS's win in that span came from Skjelstad at No. 1 singles. Mokhasi also won her No. 6 singles match to make the final score 4-3.

UIS falls to 3-1 on the year. The Prairie Stars are in action again next week in Springfield, Mo. versus Drury and Washburn.
