The University of Illinois Springfield men's tennis team continued its strong singles play on Saturday, and it helped the team earn a 6-1 victory over Michigan Tech.

On the year, UIS has now won 17 of its 18 singles matches in dual play. On Saturday, the Prairie Stars won five of six after winning No. 2 through No. 6.
Menno Servaes won No. 2 in three sets, and
Nick Revin,
Zubin Omar,
Sebastian Jonsson, and
Matthew Lapsley all won their matches in straight sets.

UIS also performed well in doubles against the Huskies, winning all three matches. The winning teams were Jonsson and Servaes at No. 1,
Tomas Martinez and
Oscar Toro at No. 2, and Revin and Lapsley at No. 3.

UIS will take a 3-0 record into Sunday's home match versus Tiffin.
