The University of Illinois Springfield men's basketball team dropped a 75-57 decision to Southwest Baptist on Thursday night at TRAC.

UIS was down just five at halftime, but couldn't keep up Southwest Baptist at the start of the second half. Over the first 10 minutes of the period, the Bearcats went on a 31-12 run which proved to be the difference in the game.

Southwest Baptist shot 50 percent from the field for the game, including 54.8 percent in the second half. UIS shot 43.1 percent from the field. The Bearcats also had a +6 rebounding margin and +6 turnover margin for the night.

UIS was led by
Jack Weber who had team-highs of 12 points and five rebounds. He was six-of-eight from the field.
Jordan Rice had six assists, and
Jacob Hanna had a pair of steals.

Jason Bergstrom and
Isaiah Esker had a +5 plus/minus in the final 3:11 of the game, and
Yamani Shareef had a positive plus/minus in over 11 minutes of playing time. Thirteen Prairie Stars played in the game, and 12 of them found the scoring column, and 11 had at least one rebound.

UIS is now 10-15 on the year and 5-12 in the GLVC. The Prairie Stars play their final game of the season at TRAC on Saturday afternoon against Rockhurst.
