UIS men's basketball had their first loss in five games versus the Missouri S&T Miners on Saturday. Their record now stands at 8-2 overall and 3-1 in the GLVC.

The leading scorers were Max Kunnert and Jordan Rice, with 22 and 20 points respectively. Max Kunnert made eight of his nine shots from the field, leading the team to a FG% of .565.

The lead changed 25 times between the Prairie Stars and the Miners, with UIS in the lead for a total of 11 minutes and 22 seconds. 

The Prairie Stars are away next week in Hammond, IN for a non-conference game versus Purdue Northwest.
