The University of Illinois Springfield women's basketball team returns to the court this Thursday for a GLVC contest against the No. 1 team in NCAA Division II. The Prairie Stars host Drury with a 5:30 p.m. tipoff.

The Prairie Stars have played just once since Dec. 4, but that one game was one of their biggest victories in program history. UIS travelled to NCAA Division I Bradley, and defeated the Braves by a 79-71 score. 

UIS is off to one of its best starts in program history with a 7-2 overall record, and a 2-1 GLVC mark.

Drury is 14-1 overall and 4-0 in the GLVC. The Panthers have won ten straight since losing to Kentucky Wesleyan, a team UIS defeated on the road.
