The University of Illinois Springfield men's basketball team travels to regional rival McKendree on Saturday afternoon for a 3 p.m. contest.

UIS is looking to bounce back after a 66-39 loss to Southern Indiana on Thursday night. The setback, which snapped the team's seven-game winning streak, dropped the team to 9-7 on the season, and 4-4 in GLVC play. 

McKendree has won three straight games, including a 91-86 victory over Quincy on Thursday night. The Bearcats are 8-4 on the season, and 4-4 in conference play.

Earlier this season, McKendree won a defensive battle with UIS by a 51-47 score. The Prairie Stars fought back from an early 15-point deficit to get within two in the final minute, but they could not pull off the last-minute win.
