The University of Illinois Springfield women's basketball team will look for a victory over a nationally-ranked opponent on Thursday when it travels to No. 25 Southern Indiana.
The Prairie Stars enter the game off a win on Monday afternoon. UIS moved to 8-5 overall and 3-4 in the GLVC with a 68-58 victory against Maryville.
Southern Indiana is one of two undefeated teams in GLVC play this year, as it has won all five of its conference contests. It moved to 11-2 on the season on Monday with a 90-59 victory versus McKendree.
Southern Indiana ranks tenth in the nation in scoring offense. It showed that in the first meeting with UIS in a game the Screaming Eagles won 98-85.
Liz Uhl was one of five Prairie Stars in double-figures as she had a team-high 15 points.
