The University of Illinois Springfield women's basketball team returns home to TRAC on Saturday afternoon. The Prairie Stars will be hosting Missouri-St. Louis in a 1 p.m. game.
UIS is looking to return to the win column after dropping its last two contests. On Thursday night, the Prairie Stars fell on the road to Lindenwood by an 82-71 score.
Lauren Ladowski became UIS's all-time steals leader on Thursday night. She recorded three steals against Lindenwood, and now has 158 for her career. Ladowski currently ranks second in the conference with 2.45 steals a game. She has at least one steal in 10 straight games, and has three or more steals in five contests this season.
Missouri-St. Louis is one of the hottest teams in the GLVC with eight straight victories. The Tritons are 8-1 overall, and a perfect 4-0 in conference play.
Missouri-St. Louis ranks sixth in NCAA Division II by allowing just 51.3 points per game, and it leads the GLVC with a .361 field-goal percentage defense. UIS is one of the better offenses in the conference this year, ranking sixth currently with 68.1 points per game.
