The University of Illinois Springfield men's basketball team set a season-high in points during Thursday's night GLVC road win over Lindenwood. The Prairie Stars won their fifth straight game with a 98-66 victory over the Lions.

UIS finished the game shooting 63.3 percent from the field, including eight-of-16 from three-point range. The Prairie Stars also made 14-of-17 from the free-throw stripe. UIS had 18 assists on the night, and just 12 turnovers. UIS also finished with 60 points in the paint.

The Prairie Stars were also strong defensively. Lindenwood shot just 37.9 percent, including eight-of-33 from behind the arc. UIS had a +11 rebounding margin, and forced 16 turnovers, including nine of Prairie Star steals.

UIS was led offensively by
Jack Weber and
James Kelley. Weber scored 24 points on 10-of-16 shooting from the field. Kelley had 20 points, and he was nine-of-13 shooting. Weber also led the team with four assists, and Kelley tied for the team-high with three steals.

Chase Robinson was in double-figures with 13 points. He had team-best marks with seven rebounds and three steals.
Chris Hamil was the fourth Prairie Star player in double-figures with 11. Other top stat lines include
Evan Altman making four-of-five from the field,
Jason Bergstrom tying a career-high with seven points, and
Jesus Castillo sinking both three-pointers he attempted.

UIS improves to 7-6 overall and 2-3 in GLVC play. The Prairie Stars are in action at home on Saturday versus Missouri-St. Louis.
