The University of Illinois Springfield men's soccer team fell for the first time in conference play this season with a road loss on Sunday in Lebanon, Ill. The Prairie Stars dropped a 1-0 decision to the Bearcats of McKendree.

UIS outshot McKendree 13-5 in the game, and had eight corner kicks offensively. The Prairie Stars couldn't take advantage though as just three shots were on goal.

The game's only score came in the 66th minute when McKendree took a shot from the left side of the box. The shot was saved, but no Prairie Stars could get to the rebound before a Bearcat collected it and scored.

Conal Gallagher and
Diego Alcaraz both had two shots for UIS, including one each on goal.
Brian Riordan also took two shots.
Pijus Petkevicius made three saves in goal.

UIS is now 5-3-0 on the season, and 4-1-0 in GLVC play. The Prairie Stars return home next Friday for a 7:30 p.m. game against Lewis.
