The University of Illinois Springfield men's soccer team came out on top of its Friday's Homecoming Contest against Lewis after a wild finish in the final four minutes. Both teams scored in the final four minutes, with the final goal giving the Prairie Stars a 2-1 victory.

UIS opened up a 1-0 lead with a goal just over six minutes remaining in the first half.

It appeared for awhile that the game would end with that total until Lewis was awarded a penalty kick with 3:42 remaining in regulation. The Flyers scored to tie the game at one.

That tie would last just over a minute. With 2:20 left on the clock, a Lewis handball gave UIS a penalty Kick.
Browel Some stepped up and buried it for what turned out to be the game-winning goal.

UIS improves to 6-3-0 overall, and 5-1 in GLVC play. The Prairie Stars host No. 1 Indianapolis on Sunday at Kiwanis Stadium at 2:30 p.m.
