The University of Illinois Springfield men's soccer team improved to 3-0-0 in GLVC play after defeating Lindenwood on Sunday afternoon in St. Charles, Mo. The Prairie Stars knocked off the Lions by a 2-0 margin.

UIS had a big statistical advantage in the game, outshooting Lindenwood 22-12, including a 13-3 margin on shots on goal.

The Prairie Stars had a 13-5 shot advantage in the first half, and they scored the period's only goal in the 30th minute when
Conal Gallagher scored unassisted. UIS later received an insurance goal in the 72nd minute when
Darian Turner found the net with an assist from
Robin Hendriks.

Pijus Petkevicius made three saves in goal as he recorded his second shutout of the season. Gallagher had team-highs with four shots and three shots on goal.
Morgan Ratcliffe and
Marvin Zott played all 90 minutes in the field.

UIS improves to 4-2-0 on the season. The Prairie Stars travel to Southern Indiana next Friday for another GLVC matchup.
