Two runners on the UIS outdoor track and field program ran on Friday night in the St. Francis Fighting Chance meet. The competition was the final one before the NCAA Division II National Championships.
 
Gloria Esarco ran in the 3,000 steeplechase. She had a final time of 11:12.28, and finished eighth in the race.
 
Wyatt McIntyre was a competitor in the invitational 5,000 race. He had a final mark of 15:04.32, which was good for 12th-place.
 
The field for the 2021 NCAA Division II Outdoor Track and Field National Championships will be announced this upcoming week.
