The University of Illinois Springfield women's tennis program won on Senior Day in Chatham, Ill. The Prairie Stars defeated Southern Indiana by a 5-2 margin.

Carol Quevedo was the program's lone senior, and she had a big day for the Prairie Stars. She and
Franca Bucco won their No. 1 doubles match by a 6-4 score. Quevedo then sealed the victory with a 6-2 and 6-2 win at No. 1 singles.

Her two victories were one of six for UIS, as it only lost the three matches that it lost by default.
Neha Mokhasi and
Sina Skjelstad won the No. 2 doubles by a 6-3 margin. Skejelstad won her No. 2 singles match in three sets. Mokhasi and Bucco both won singles contests in straight sets, including a 6-0 and 6-0 win for Bucco.

UIS improves to 9-2 overall and 3-1 in GLVC play. The Prairie Stars are in action again next week at Lindenwood and Maryville.
