Women's Soccer Ends Season At Maryville

The University of Illinois Springfield women's soccer team ends its season this week with a Friday road game at Maryville. The two teams will kick off at 3:30 p.m.
 
UIS enters play this week with a 2-8-1 record on the year. It is 13th in the conference standings. The team is 1-1-1 over its last three contests.
 
Last week, the Prairie Stars fought Drury to a 1-1 tie, before falling by a 1-0 margin against Missouri S&T.
 
UIS has a 1.14 GAA on the season, an improvement of 0.72 over the 2019 season. The Prairie Stars have allowed one or zero goals in nine of 11 games this season.
 
Amanda Finnell has been the team leader in goal. She has a 1.06 GAA and a .744 save percentage. Offensively, Abby Dellarmorte has one goal, and leads the team with 27 shots and 13 shots on goal.

Maryville is currently 5-5-3 on the season, and tied for ninth-place in the GLVC. The Saints are looking to move up at least one spot in order to make the GLVC Tournament field.
 
Maryville is fourth in the GLVC with 1.54 goals per game, and it has 19 assists on 20 scores. The team is 12th in the conference with a 1.15 GAA.
 
A trio of Saints players in Amanda Kaltwasser, Lexi Gentry, and Alex Johnson have combined for 14 goals. Gentry is also fourth in the league with five assists. Goalie Katie Nash is fourth in the GLVC with 39 saves on the year.
 
In their last meeting, Maryville defeated UIS by a 2-0 margin.
