The University of Illinois Springfield women's tennis team fell short against No. 1 Indianapolis on Friday, but the Prairie Stars did pick up two impressive victories in the 5-2 loss.

At No. 2 doubles,
Carol Quevedo and
Franca Bucco picked up a 6-3 win over the No. 3 ranked doubles team in NCAA Division II.
Neha Mokhasi earned a singles victory with a 6-4 and 6-1 victory at the No. 4 position. Both of those victories improved win streaks to nine straight for the UIS women's tennis players.

UIS is now 7-2 on the season, and 1-1 in GLVC play. The Prairie Stars are in action again on Saturday at Lewis.
